VeloValet (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose information from users of our website located at velovalet.app (the “Site”) and the services we provide through the Site (the “Services”), including information collected from bicycle owners (“End Users”) whose bicycles are checked in using our platform.

2. Children

We do not intentionally collect Personal Data from individuals under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected Personal Data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as possible. 3. Types of Data We Collect

“Personal Data” means data that allows someone to identify or contact you, including your name, email address, telephone number, and any other non-public information associated with the foregoing. We collect the following categories of data:

3.1 Information You Provide to Us (Registered Users)

  • Account registration information (name, email address, password).
  • Organization details (organization name, location).
  • Event information (event name, date, times, location).
  • Demo request form submissions (name, email, organization name, location, estimated event frequency, and optional message).

3.2 Information Collected About End Users (Bicycle Owners)

When a bicycle is checked in at a VeloValet-operated valet station, the following information about the bicycle owner (“End User”) is collected by the valet attendant:

  • Mobile phone number — collected for transactional SMS messages related to valet sessions.
  • Claim tag number — a numbered identifier assigned to the bicycle for retrieval.
  • Bicycle photograph — an optional photo of the bicycle taken at check-in for identification purposes.

3.3 Information Collected via Technology

  • Log data — our servers may automatically collect information such as your browser type, operating system, IP address, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
  • Cookies — we use cookies to maintain your session and improve your experience. You can instruct your browser to refuse cookies, but some features of the Site may not function properly without them.

4. Use of Your Data

4.1 Registered Users

We use Personal Data from registered users to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services.
  • Send administrative communications (e.g., account confirmations, password resets, security notices).
  • Respond to demo requests, inquiries, and support requests.
  • Improve the Site and Services.

4.2 End Users (Bicycle Owners)

End User phone numbers are used for sending transactional SMS messages related to the bike valet session, including but not limited to:

  1. Check-in confirmation — sent immediately upon check-in with the claim tag number and event details.
  2. Pickup reminder — sent before the valet station closes to remind the End User to retrieve their bicycle.
  3. Check-out confirmation — sent when the bicycle is returned to the End User.

No mobile information will be sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. End User phone numbers are not used for marketing, advertising, or any purpose beyond the valet session. Phone numbers are retained for operational recordkeeping and shared with third-party vendors as necessary to provide services to the End User.

4.3 Anonymous Data

We may create anonymous or aggregated data from Personal Data by removing information that makes the data personally identifiable. We may use such anonymous data to analyze usage patterns and improve our Services. We reserve the right to use and disclose anonymous data for any purpose.

5. Disclosure of Your Data

5.1 Service Providers

We may share Personal Data with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Site and providing the Services, including:

  • SMS delivery — we use a third-party messaging provider to send transactional SMS messages to End Users.
  • Email delivery — we use a third-party email provider to send transactional and administrative emails.
  • Cloud hosting — user data is stored on cloud infrastructure provided by third-party hosting services.

These service providers are required to use your Personal Data only to provide the services we have engaged them to perform and are contractually obligated to protect your data.

5.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose Personal Data if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary: (a) in connection with any legal investigation; (b) to comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpoenas, warrants, or other legal process served on us; (c) to protect or defend the rights or property of VeloValet or users of the Site; and/or (d) to investigate or assist in preventing any violation of the law or these policies.

5.3 Business Transfers

We may share Personal Data in connection with or during negotiation of any merger, financing, acquisition, dissolution, or similar transaction. 6. SMS Opt-Out

End Users can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Opt-out requests are honored and no further messages will be sent.

7. Your Choices & Rights

7.1 Email Communications

If you receive administrative emails from us, you may opt out by following the unsubscribe instructions in the email or by contacting us directly. Even after opting out, we may still send you service-related communications (such as security notices or changes to our policies).

7.2 Cookies

You can instruct your browser to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting cookies. If you do not accept cookies, some features of the Site may not function properly.

7.3 Access, Correction & Deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Personal Data by contacting us at hello@velovalet.app. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to honor your request, but please note that we may be required by law to retain certain information.
